Murat Gedik

I graduated from Draftsmanship Department from Bakırköy Technical and Industrial Vocational High School in 1991. Since graduation, I have worked several architectural companies. During those years, I personally improved my sketching skills, computer skills in 3D modelling and technical drawing field and most importantly my design skills.

I design architectural concepts as a freelance designer. I have one architectural concept design project published in a notable architecture magazine called ‘Tasarım’ and some other architectural concept design projects which are now in investment process both domestic and abroad.

The fact that this project was published under the ‘futurist’ title has laid imagination contributes greatly to my artwork.

My residential villa project called 'Field of Flowers' won A Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Category in 2014

I won 2. Prize ,in the car design contest held by Automotive Exporters Association, in category ergonomics in 2013 in Turkey. This contest has motivated me in car design and made me realize my skills in this field. I have been attending any other contests in design area.

My design consists mainly of futurist buildings, high-rise buildings, car designs, fighter aircrafts of the future and automobiles.

The roof is fully covered with solar panels that produce the energy needed by the household. The roof shape also allows rain and snow water to be collected in storage units, which serve as the main bearings of the building. The steel structure rests on three bearing bases, so the impact on the soil is reduced. The villa stands 6 metres above the ground and reaches 23.80 metres at the apex. An ornamental pool below is visible through a partly glass floor.

Poluted air purification by Murat Gedik

OXY2050 Poluted air purification by Murat Gedik OXY2050 is an urban air purifier designed to clean polluted city air. Air quality is monitored at monitoring stations at all hours. When the pollution rate becomes risky, OXY2050 is sent to the affected area. The unit floats above the area with a helium filled outer shell and is guided remotely by engineers. Polluted air is drawn in through absorbing turbines. The collected air is treated with chemical solutions such as potassium hydroxide, activated carbon and calcium hydroxide. The purified air is stored and then released through sprayers until air quality becomes moderate.
