Five Am

Design atelier Five AM was established in 2011 by interior architects Mathieu Bellens and Olivier Caluwier. Creating interiors and exhibition spaces for semi-public organisations and private companies, the Five AM portfolio also extends to product design. The studio’s aim is to generate a moment of astonishment in the process of realising an inspiring result.

With simplicity as a starting point, each design needs to interact with the user and build up naturally until the story is complete.
Office interior by Five Am

Container offices Office interior by Five Am In a big hall of 4000 sqm, belgian designers Five AM placed 13 second hand shipping containers to create an office space for Drukta & Formail, two printing companies. The concept was to create a certain experience for every visitor/user, linking the offices between the workshop so the bosses can see their employees, and the visitors can explore the huge machinery. Three containers pop out of the building to get as much natural light as possible, both located through the existing loading docks.

Flexible office by Five Am

Suivez le guide Flexible office by Five Am This concept was designed for a design competition organized by the province of West Flanders. The assignment was to fill up a large empty space which is in the middle of several offices, with furniture where the users could gather. Suivez le guide is a series of 7 volumes of plywood in which allows the user to practice another activity. They can easily change the location of each box according the function they need. “Suivez-le-guide” breaks with the conventions in the field of office furniture. It is a response to the demand for other ways of working and communicating.

Winehouse by Five Am

Crombe 3.0 Winehouse by Five Am The Crombé winehouse shop concept’s goal was to have the customers experience a completely new way of shopping. The basic idea was to start from the look and feel of a warehouse, to which subsequently we added light and finesse. Even though the wines are being presented in their original packaging, the clean lines of the metal frames still ensure familiarity and perspective. Every bottle hangs in the frame in the identical inclination the sommelier would serve them in. The 12 m rack houses the champagnes and lockers. Per locker, clients can safely store up to 30 bottles.

Shop design by Five Am

Filou & Friends Shop design by Five Am Flexibility is at the heart of the concept FIVE AM created for Filou & Friends’ new stores. More than a simple kids’ corner, the entire shop now revolves around a unique language, taken directly out of children’s imagination.FIVE AM came up with the idea of having a rail following the contours of the store. This rail works as a link to the metal playgrounds and work areas, which can take up different functions.
