AYKA design is the brainchild of K.Michelle Evans, award winning Interior Designer who won the highly prestigious BEST INTERIOR DESIGNER of 2013 in the Commercial Interior Awards held in Dubai. Michelle was described by the judges as a "hospitality specialist with a true understanding of different cultures " and someone who "creates bespoke designs suited to clients’ individual needs". The judges highlighted that what sets Evans apart is her ability to create truly "experimental spaces”.

She set up her own boutique design rug company Ayka Design when she left HBA ,a prestigious worldwide design company some 18 months ago. Michelle has made a name for herself as one of the foremost, creative, edgy and progressive rug designers around. Michelle now has several collections to her name and has exhibited them in New York, Los Angeles, Dubai and Germany. Her passion for bold modern design and abstract textures is evident in her latest collections and by the most recent Carpet Design Awards at Domotex 2015.

Award Winning Designer K.Michelle Evans takes Domotex 2015 by storm. Having just completed her second trade show at Domotex, Hannover, Germany, Michelle won the following outstanding awards:
• Best Studio Artist Design Carpets 2015 for the rug “My Secret Garden” and
• Best Innovation 2015 for the rug “Circle of Life”.
