Aleksandra Toborowicz is a Polish graphic designer, muralist, painter and lecturer. PhD candidate. Assistant lecturer at the Lettering and Typography Studio at the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. In 2008 graduated from Department of Graphic Design at the Faculty of Graphic Arts (Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow).
She specialises in editorial design and typography, but also makes designs of posters, ID and websites - she is the author of the website of Virtual Museum of Erotic Art awarded internationally by: European Design Awards Silver Medal, Trnava Poster Triennale, Machina Design Awards, Transvizualia (muzeumerotyzmu.pl) in 2009.

Others awards and scholarships: the Bronze A'Design Award for the album "Grafika ASP Krakow" in 2015, the finalist in the international competition Hiii Typography 2014, an award of the Rector of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, Art of Packaging; scholarchip of Ministry of Culture and Heritage "Mloda Polska" in 2010 and 2002.
Member the Association of Applied Graphic Designers (STGU) and member of a board Foundation Znaczy Się (2012–2013). The organizer of the typography conference "TypoTok".

Krakowski Salon Sztuki Exhibition Catalogue by Aleksandra Toborowicz Krakowski Salon Sztuki is an exhibition catalogue presenting artists and their artworks shown during the first edition of the Krakow Art Salon 2018 in Cracow, Poland. Each spread has a slightly different layout, adapted to the form and the number of the presented works. The design is inspired by the way the artworks were displayed at the exhibition, by diversity and by minimalism. The book has 288 pages in a format of 210 by 265 millimetres. The hardcover is bound in canvas and finished with blind stamping and screen printing.

Radiomural District Identity and Mural by Aleksandra Toborowicz Radiomural is a mural created for the Langwasser district in Nuremberg. The design reproduces the tuning scale of a Grundig radio of the 1970s and 1980s, recalling the radios once produced in the district. The painted wall is 25 meters long and 2.5 meters high. Black and white paint is combined with photoluminescent spray, and stencils are used for the letters. At night the letters glow, so the mural resembles a radio that is switched on. The place names on the scale mark favorite local places chosen by residents and their countries of origin.

Music of the Skalne Podhale Region A Manual for Learning Highlander Music by Aleksandra Toborowicz Music of the Skalne Podhale Region is a manual for learning highlander music. The three-volume set covers theory, finger notation and music notation, and is accompanied by recordings. Each volume opens flat, which allows comfortable use while music is performed. The cover graphics combine a mountain horizon with the look of a sound recording in a music editing program, and form a mirrored image that recalls reflections in mountain lakes. Titles and graphics are printed by silk screen on raw linen with red threads, a reference to traditional highlander costumes.

Cultural Wars Against Poland Book Series by Aleksandra Toborowicz Cultural Wars Against Poland is a popular science historical book series published by the National Centre for Culture in Poland. The series covers the period from the end of the 17th century to the first half of the 20th century. A very rough cover paper strengthens the message of war, roughness and destruction. A torn page motif on the covers is formed by blind stamping. The interior is printed in two colours, black and intense red, with the red accents referring to the colours of the Polish flag. Otabind binding lets each volume open flat for easier reading.

Catalogue of Incunabula Book Series by Aleksandra Toborowicz Catalogue of Incunabula is a two-volume book that documents the collection of fifteenth-century prints held by the National Library of Poland. The design refers to the style of early Renaissance printing and typography. Large initials form the main visual theme, and the cover title is produced by two-color typographic printing. Blind debossing of a Renaissance grid marks the covers. The text is set in the oldstyle serif Adobe Jenson Pro. The cover paper is made of cotton and has a rough texture. The sewn binding lets the thick volumes open easily for reading.

Literkolekcja Photobook by Aleksandra Toborowicz Literkolekcja is a photobook documenting letter expression in public space, including lettering, typography and calligraphy. The photographs were taken over a decade in many parts of the world, mainly with a mobile phone, and remain deliberately raw, without artificial aesthetics. On the cover, a table of contents passes through the spine and extends beyond the bleed. The texts reproduce the inscriptions on the photographs with all errors. The typesetting is deliberately irregular, reflecting the imperfections of the letters shown. Swiss binding allows the album to lie flat.
