Lorenzo Susini

Lorenzo Susini was born in Florence in 1984, where he completed his studies in 2010. After graduating in Product Design at University of Florence with a thesis on urban design entitled “The shelter for public transport as a service system”, he started to collaborate with architecture and design studies.
Lorenzo began his career as a freelance in his studio in Florence in 2012, developing prototypes of water glasses with ColleVilca, Tuscan company leader in crystal.
Later he began a collaboration with Enrico Cassina for which he designed the handle POP GUM which was presented at Fuorisalone 2015 in Milan. Pop Gum had publications on online magazines such as Interni, Design Best, Leonardo Casa e Stili and on print magazine such as Elle Décor Italia in October.
His design concept comes from curiosity and interaction with people around him. The observation of what surrounds us and all the actions that take place around us are the stimulus for a new design or review and actualization of something that already exists. The colour in his design has a very important role.
The creative process is developed starting from concept through sketches and prototypes up to the development of the final product through an intensive interaction with companies and artisans.
