Francesco Frulio, was born in 1988 in London. In 2013 he obtained a BA in Industrial Design at DADU, University of Architecture, City Planning and Design in Alghero, Italy. The thesis project feautered the creation and development of a new bio-composite material based on flax and a special sustainable resin, patend with the name of FiberFlax. He currently attends the second year of the MA in Product Design for Innovation at Politecnico di Milano(Polythecnic of Milan). He is also attending the honor program Alta Scuola Politecnica, a joined program between Polythechnic of Milan and Polythecnic of Turin in which the 150 best student among the two university are admitted.

He works in different field of design from product design, to graphic design and illustration. The experience made both at school and for personal projects, gave him a very good knowledge in prototyping modeling and techniques gaining a very good knowledge on materials such as carbon, aramidic and natural fibers and composites.

In 2014 he exhibited at the Milan Design Week during the Fuori Salone presenting the FiberFlax Chair and FiberFlax Stool derived form the reserch project his thesis work FiberFlax. The FiberFlax stool was featured in the June 2014 issue of the design magazine Ottagono.

In May 2014 among with other three designers colleagues, he presented the kinetic animation BE Sm[Art]at the Sguardi Altrove Film Festival at the Triennale Design Museum.

In November 2015 he exibited the FiberFlax Stool and the Easy Light Chair and Table at the furniture design show IoCasa 2015 at Riva del Garda.

His work have been featured on important design websites and magazine such as Ottagono and Designboom.
