Gaurav Bhangre runs an Architectural studio in Lonavla India since 2009. Gaurav studied architecture at Dr. D.Y. Patil College of Architecture, Akurdi, Pune. After completing his studies in 2005, he worked with Ar. Girish Doshi as an assistant. In 2009 he started his own practice along with Ar. Prasanna Morey. He works in and around Pune and Lonavla.

Excellence of design and its successful execution are central to his approach. The climate sensitive Tropical Architecture often blurs the boundaries between indoor and outdoor, making spaces permeable, and the relationship between the built form and the natural environment, constant. Good design is always simple. It should provoke and stimulate but not be and seem unnatural.

Gaurav believes in sensitive, ecologically friendly environments and thus wants to provide maximum flexibility in design and operation, and to increase productivity. He collaborates with the most experienced and qualified consultants for each project and work closely with the client to create quality projects in both renovations and new work, with high level of personal attention towards detailing and hence desire to attain unique design solutions.He strives to produce work that is innovative, and practical, while keeping in mind the social, economic, environmental and aesthetic issues relevant to each project

He uses local material, traditional concepts and craft, with innovative and contemporary design approach.Vernacular architectural elements are prominently seen in most of his projects used in modern style which create a feel of belonging for its users! He has created a versatile body of work ranging from architecture and interiors of residences,corporate offices and hospitality spaces.
