Pu Tang Restaurant by Zhao Yunhai Pu Tang is a restaurant interior in Nanjing, China, covering an area of 1284 square meters. The layout includes seven private rooms and one tea room, each based on a theme drawn from literati symbols such as plum, orchid, bamboo and chrysanthemum. The central floor slab of the building was removed to form an inner courtyard for plants and to bring daylight into each room. A visual corridor introduces garden views, while stones, water, moss and fern create a natural landscape. Natural marble and wood panelling are used.

Bishan Bookstore by Zhao Yunhai Bishan is a bookstore set inside a former ancestral hall in Bishan Village, Yi County, Anhui. The hall, a Wang family shrine, was built more than 230 years ago during the Qing Dynasty. The project covers 420 square meters and adapts a protected historic building to present-day cultural use. Natural materials such as wood, bamboo and stone shape the interior, while the bookcase wall is finished in white rammed earth. Cement board supports the bookcase wall and limits damage caused by ground moisture. The form of the bookcase wall recalls painted screens and frames a central reading area.

Zhenbaoguan Museum by Zhao Yunhai Zhenbaoguan is a private museum interior covering 750 square meters. The space displays a collection of artworks and wine inside a residence that also serves as an office and a place to receive guests. Cabinets, ceilings and floors are finished in black wood and stone, so attention stays on the exhibits. The cabinet lighting illuminates each artwork rather than the cabinet surfaces. Wine walls are arranged symmetrically along both sides of the main corridor, following Oriental symmetry aesthetics. Turns and level changes create a varied route through the rooms.
