Futoshi Masuda, the representative of MASTERD Co.,Ltd, keeps the traditional style and culture of Japan. While maintaining the Japanese spirit,
he incorporates the atmosphere of the land that should be in the design. He tries to create a new Japanese design.

Marugo Restaurant by Futoshi Masuda Marugo Shinbashi is a wine bar and restaurant interior located on a busy street in Shinbashi, Tokyo. The circle of the Marugo brand sign is repeated through the interior to improve visibility and recall. A wine red tiled wall and a buttoned bench carry the circular motif, while colored copper plates of Takaoka copperware cover a full wall. Cube brick tile and mahogany wood complete the material palette. Indirect lighting was adjusted with a full-size mockup so that light reads clearly from each circle. The space covers 105 square meters.
