Mau Waxed Perfume by Moe Nakagawa Mau is a packaging design for a waxed perfume inspired by Japanese tradition. The name Mau means dancing while floating, and the theme is softness and lightness. The perfume is held in a paper tube made of washi, a traditional Japanese paper. A touch of watercolor on the washi expresses the gentle character of the fragrance. Waxed perfume has a low water content, so the package can be made of paper alone, without plastic. The soft scent is intended for people who find alcohol based perfume too strong.
