Table by Paradox Studio

Diagonal Table by Paradox Studio Diagonal is a desk designed around a single geometric idea, the diagonal line that joins two opposite corners. The tabletop is made of plywood with walnut veneer, and the veneer pattern follows the same diagonal guide. The two stands are made of steel with a powder coated finish, and both stands are placed along the same line. The main structural skeleton is hidden inside the tabletop and carries the load through three short columns to the stands. A bevelled edge and a gap between top and stands make the surface appear to float.

Hotel Suite by Paradox Studio

Yamadera Hotel Suite by Paradox Studio Yamadera is a hotel suite located in Jiaoxi, Taiwan, and named after a mountain temple in Yamagata, Japan. The suite covers 30 square meters and is divided by layered arch elements into three sections: foyer, resting area and bathing area. Monotone materials and low chromatic tones create a calm and enclosed atmosphere. Diatomaceous earth is mixed into the wall coating of the sleeping area to adjust the humidity around the hot spring tub. Water-resistant mineral paint is used in the bathing area. The compact layout responds to the limited floor space.

Residential House by Paradox Studio

Casa Calma Residential House by Paradox Studio Casa Calma is a residential interior design for a three-generation family. The home covers 360 square metres on one floor, with two private elevators at the centre and windows on four sides. A double-height terrace faces the mountain view. A 2.8 metre tall rotating door divides the plan into two areas, so the bedrooms can be closed off from the living room when guests visit. During private family time the house can be circulated as a loop. Mineral coating and a bronze-toned ceiling line guide daily movement through the space.

Hotel by Paradox Studio

Uketamo Hotel by Paradox Studio Uketamo is a hotel interior located in the Daan District of Taipei, Taiwan. The design turns the idea of acceptance into a spatial journey. A central staircase links the lobbies of three floors, which represent the past, the present and the future. The staircase has a steel frame clad in Italian tile, and the walls carry a hand applied mineral coating with an earthy texture. A seven meter long hand tufted tapestry shifts from deep indigo to pale blue. Surfaces become lighter as guests ascend, leading from urban density toward stillness.
