Junming Chen is a designer and programmer with a multidisciplinary background. He holds a BA in Architecture, an MS in Design, and an MS in Computing. Currently studying for a doctorate in digital media at Macau University of Science and Technology, and working in the Digital Construction Laboratory of Macau University of Science and Technology. Good at using parametric and artificial intelligence technology for design practice. He designed and built several parametric projects. He has also won many design awards and computer awards.

Parametric Generation Building by Junming Chen Parametric Generation is a residential town design created with the parametric tool Grasshopper. Buildings in the traditional style of eastern Sichuan are generated from a small set of parameters, such as length, width, height, eave size and roof slope. The individual buildings can be combined freely, and the complex covers about 100,000 square meters. Designers can add details to the generated models, and any revision is made by entering new parameters. The method keeps one architectural style across a whole town and shortens the design process.

Generate Images from Lines Ai Interior Design by Junming Chen Generate Images from Lines is an artificial intelligence system that creates interior design renderings from line drawings. The system is based on an improved diffusion model, trained on more than 20,000 interior design images collected and annotated by professional designers. Designers input a hand-drawn or digital line draft and select a decorative style, such as modern, Japanese, European or Chinese. A rendering is produced in a few seconds. Designs are changed by editing the line draft, so manual modeling and re-rendering are not required.

Technology Inheritance Generative Architecture by Junming Chen Technology Inheritance is an artificial intelligence tool that generates building exterior designs. The tool creates building appearances in different architectural styles from text entered by the user. Each image is produced in a few seconds, and the design can be changed by editing the text description. The system was built by collecting and labeling thousands of architectural renderings, then fine-tuning an existing image generation model with the new data set. The aim is to help beginners reach a professional level of quality.
